Couldn’t ask for a better location in Lisbon! In the heart of Alfama you’ll find the self-catering apartments that make up Páteo Santo Estevão. Mariza kindly arranged the taxi for us from the airport (great service from Rui Marques!) and gave a helpful overview of the area of how best to get about. But don’t forget, half the fun is in getting lost in the crazy back streets of the Alfama area! The apartment we were in was small, however that is the nature of these narrow homes built into the hills that make up the Lisbon old town. The wifi was free and worked perfectly and the self-service kitchen would be exactly what's needed for a longer stay option in Lisbon. Good value for money spent.

When we arrived it was a bit hard to find, but we got a warm welcome and the appartment was nice and clean. We stayed in appartement 5. If you are taller than 1.75 cm you have a problem with the beds, but for us it was ok. Location is perfect for exploring the city!

Nice self-catering apartments in the Alfama area of Lisbon. Right in the old town and 15 minute walking to the central square, shops, and the water. These apartments have a lovely central patio to sit outside and have a glass of wine. Very safe as the main door locks and you then walk down stairs to the courtyard and separate apartments. Each apartment is different and we stayed in 2 kinds: the studio and the loft. The loft was much better and provided more space with a pull out bed downstairs and an upstairs bedroom with a comfy king bed. One unfortunate thing is the shower stalls have no ledges to put soap or shampoo and they are very tiny. You must be careful not to touch the water dials when moving. It can be quite a surprise when scalding hot or freezing cold water hits you unexpectedly!

Visiting for the second time in two years, this place still welcomes you nicely. you get a beautiful hand designed map, with all the small typical lisbon stairs drawn on it. Very handy, and of course very charming. It's very clean, and everything you need is there. A very good quality versus price relationship.
Would be glad to some visit again in the future!

Really great spot to start your tours in Lissabon. Right on top of Alfama wit a perfect view to the sea just in fron of the main door. Kitchen area is big enough to prepare meals but you wont need it since there are tons of great and cheap restaurants in the small streets of Alfama. Bathroom is clean and has all whats needed. Perfect value for money.
Friendly Staff. But the way to find it is not the easiest, ask for directions beforehand ;)
